Why become a NECTAR member?

• You become member of an active multidisciplinary research community in the field of transport, networks, accessibility and communications research;
• you can participate in NECTAR workshops and conferences at low lost. Usually, you need to cover only travel costs. Workshops and conferences require no fees and no or few hotel costs;
• young researchers have reduced membership fees;
• get a 50% discount in ordering books from the NECTAR series.

To participate in a NECTAR workshop one needs to be a NECTAR member for at least the year that the workshop take place; to participate in the NECTAR international conference one needs to be a member for at least two consecutive years (including the year the conference takes place).

How to become a NECTAR member

All NECTAR memberships are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase. You can renew your membership or become a NECTAR member by following one of the procedures below:

1. Direct via Credit/Debit payment (immediate and easiest)
   Select either “Student” or “Full Member”. Your membership is valid immediately upon payment.
2. Payment via IBAN Bank Transfer (slower)
   Select the IBAN option if you want your institution to pay an invoice directly to NECTAR. Your invoice with payment information will be generated after you create an account, but your membership is not valid until this invoice is paid and verified by our Treasurer, which may take up to 7 days.

For all options, you will be prompted to enter your account information and user information. You can choose any Username. Remember your password as you will need it to retrieve your invoice and receipt and access your 6 digit membership number.

The current 2-year membership fees are:

• €80 “Student”, which includes students and everyone under the age of 30 at time of purchase.
• €140 “Full Member” for everyone else.
